The 2022 Innovator of the Year Awards program allows for the recognition of five innovators who are changing the status quo in OC’s community of business. Five awards will be presented at the 2022 Innovator of the Year Awards Luncheon & Program on September 8, 2022, at the Irvine Marriott with Awards Keynote Speaker is Tony Smith, Co-Founder and CEO, of Restaurant365.

Lobel nominated for the creation of a new service aimed at helping floundering businesses fix financial problems in order to avoid a harmful bankruptcy

COSTA MESA, Calif. (August 2022) – Distressed Capital Resources LLC founder and president William “Bill” Lobel has been nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s Innovator of the Year Award.  This award recognizes Orange County business leaders who are creating game-changing ideas, processes, products, services, and business models.

For more than 30 years, Lobel has helped owners of real estate and businesses in financial distress avoid or successfully emerge from chapter 11 bankruptcy. He launched Distressed Capital Resources earlier this year to bring together a wide variety of advisers and providers of funds and services who can help clients save their businesses, keeping the doors open and preserving jobs and economic activity.

A leading bankruptcy attorney on the national stage for decades, Lobel is well-acquainted with the financial needs of a variety of industries. A founder of the California Bankruptcy Forum, Lobel is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. His legal work has been recognized with awards from Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, Martindale Hubbell, Lawdragon and Chambers USA.

The Orange County Business Journal’s Innovator of the Year Awards celebrate business leaders who are at the forefront of innovation in Orange County. Nominees are chosen from online submissions based on their professional achievements and their contributions to their community and industry. The awards will be presented at a special luncheon and ceremony on Sept. 8, 2022 at the Irvine Marriott.
